360 grader

Tack alla ni som kunde komma förbi min lilla "butik" i helgen. Och tack för blommor och så din fina tavla, Erik. MÅSTE införskaffa vaser! Det ser så sjabbigt ut med blommor i låga dricksglas, de dör ju dessutom.



Här kommer glimt av utställningslokalen i 360º. Butiken kommer garanterat ha fler öppethelger framöver. Så vi ses då.

Welcome!

På plats på Söder!

Nu har flyttlasset från Gamla Stan lastats av och jag har packat upp det mesta. Så nu sitter jag i min nya ateljé på Söder, närmare bestämt på lååånga Ringvägen. Nytt och spännande är att jag har ett showroom, anpassat främst för illustration och foto. Under våren kommer mer information om det.

Eventually the lorry-load of paper and pens from my old studio in Gamla Stan arrived and I have unpacked most of it. So now I work from my new studio om Södermalm. New is the showroom, mainly for illustration and photo. During th spring there will be more information about that.

The new studio

The studio and the showromm is as god as ready now and from New Year I will be working from there. My contacts are still the same, but the new address will be updated.

Yesterday I invited my friends at Stockholm Illustration on "glögg" (allmost as Glüwine, but sweeter). They gave me this extraordinary sculptural flower arrangement and it does look god towards the black walls in the showroom.

New studio...

During the winter holiday I will move to a new studio. Slowly, among ladders and tins of paints, the working area and the showroom is taking shape. I will still be a part of Stockholm Illustration. To be continued...

Totally Achilles heel

Last week I fell down the stairs. I got away, luckily, with bruises and a sprained heel. So this is my best friend right now...

First day back in the studio.

Back in the studio August 19th

More then two month on the countryside makes it hard to give up this life. During the summer we have been cleaning the first floor (celler) from junk and finally, after twelve year, I can see it's a room. So this last week I will do the final touch and hopefully I can enjoy sitting in the "new" studio before we leave the island. The end of summer...

Birds in the Christmas tree

This years Christmas card is filled with little birds. Cut them out, glue on a clothespeg and pinch on a twig.

Jabo Illustration launching a new website

My name is Janette Bornmarker and I am a freelance illustrator. I am one of the illustrators in Stockholm Illustration and together we are one of the largest group with established illustrators in Sweden.

I have worked with clients in editorial, publishing, design and advertising and I see no limit in how my illustrations can develop. My illustrations is drawn by hand then refined in to a digital illustration.

On this website I will give You a glipmpse of my everyday work and things that inspires me. My intention is to collect my own scrap-book-kind-of-web-thing and if You are interested - take a peek.

The content is uploaded like a blog, with each entry being a post into a category. You can click on all the pictures to veiw it enlarged. The enlargement will open in a new window. Simply go backwards by using the menu in your browser, in case it opens in the same window.

Have patience with my Swenglish. Sometimes I will write in Swedish, some in English or it will just be a mix of both. Have this useful Swe-Eng dictionary on the way through the website.

If you read all this I guess you are interested. Before you continuing I have to give a special thanks to my family and friends and books and internet, whom inspires me every day.

Nu har min hemsida och blog blivit ett. Känns skönt! Håller fortfarande på att göra inlägg, det är ett hästgöra att lägga upp gamla och nya illustrationer i portfolion. Men det kommer bli mycket att titta på. Har även hittat lite nya böcker och animationer som är superbra. To be continued ...

Nu hänger årets Vaccinationskampanj uppe på vårdcentralerna i Stockholm. Det är tredje året i rad som illustrationerna nyser på affischer, annonser och annat informationsmateria. Kampanjen en succé redan 2005 och med ett nytt mönster och färgställning varje år, tycks inte patienterna tröttna.Vårdguiden.se

Independence - Willes egen dag

Charlie har fått en lillebror, William, och vi en till guldklimp på 3390 gram. Allt hände den 4 juli, på Independence Day. Nu kommer jag arbeta på sparlåga, om jag klarar det.

Stockholm Calling

After a few years on Hamngatan 3 in Visby, Gotland, I return to Stockholm. From now I'll be a part of the Sthlm Illustration groupe and soon I'll also be sitting together with these fantasic artists in Gamla Stan (The OldTown) in Stockholm.
